vbe is still being built. Steps marked Working now already run in vbe and made the latest rethink normal videos. Steps marked In development are being built for the first release.
Three things to know
1. Paste your script
You bring the words. vbe plans the scenes, the voice, the captions and the pictures from them.
2. See the cost and say yes
Every step that costs money shows its price first and waits for you.
3. Render on your Mac
The finished video is made on your computer and saved in your own folder.
Step by step
-
Paste your script Working now
Start a new video and paste in the script you have written. vbe splits it into sections and checks it for problems that would waste a paid step later, such as missing pauses.
-
The voice Working now
vbe reads your script aloud in the voice you choose. A natural premium voice costs a little, and vbe shows that cost and waits for your yes before it records. A free voice that runs on your Mac is being added.
-
Captions on every word Working now
vbe lines every caption word up with the voice, so each word lights up as it is spoken. This runs on your Mac and costs nothing.
-
A plan for every scene Working now
vbe reads the whole script and plans each scene: what the picture shows, the words on screen, and the exact word each scene starts on. Where the same place or person comes back, it reuses the picture instead of making a new one, so you pay once.
-
See the cost and say yes Working now
Before any pictures are made, vbe shows how many new pictures the plan needs and what they will cost. Nothing is spent until you say yes, and a yes from yesterday does not cover today.
-
The pictures Working now
vbe makes the pictures the plan asks for, in one look, keeping the same characters looking the same from scene to scene.
-
Look it over and change any scene In development
Every scene is a card: the words, what the picture shows, and the picture itself. Type a change in plain words, such as “make it evening”, and vbe shows you the before and after and the cost of a new picture before it makes one. Or reuse an earlier picture, or drop in your own.
-
Approve the plan Working now
When you are happy, you approve the plan. vbe keeps a record of when it was approved and exactly what was approved. If the plan changes afterwards, that approval no longer counts and vbe asks again.
-
Render on your Mac Working now
vbe renders the finished video on your own Mac. Rendering costs nothing in AI fees. Your video, captions and pictures stay in your own folder.
-
Reels from the same video In development
vbe finds moments that work on their own and cuts them into tall clips with their own captions, ready for Instagram, TikTok and YouTube Shorts. You keep the ones you like.
What you need
A Mac
vbe is coming to Mac first. Windows is planned after. Before launch we will say exactly which Macs are fast enough.
A way to pay for the AI
Planning, pictures and a premium voice cost a little each time. How you pay for them is being settled before launch. Whichever way it is, every paid step shows its cost first.
Nothing else
No YouTube channel and no other sign-ups. vbe makes a video file, and where it goes is up to you.
Why it works this way
AI is fast, and it is confidently wrong often enough that someone has to check it. vbe was built for a real channel, rethink normal, where every fact is checked against its source. So every step waits for a person, and nothing that costs money happens without a price you have seen. AI proposes. vbe validates. You decide.
